THE CLUB
Cesena FC was officially (re)born on August 2, 2018, following the collapse of AC Cesena. The club's ownership, through Holding CFC SpA, is formed by twenty-eight companies, all committed to restoring a sustainable football club in the city of Cesena as well as keeping up the tradition of a club founded in 1940 and which, in the 78 years of its existence, played for 13 seasons in Serie A - the first time in 1973/74 and the most recent in 2014/15 - also qualifying for the Uefa Cup at the end of the 1975/76 season.
In 2018/19, the club played in Serie D under the name of RC Cesena - taking over from Romagna Centro – swiftly returning to professional clubs' ranks at the season's end.
On 20th December 2021, a close-knit group of American business people acquired 60% of Cesena FC shares. On November 29, 2022, JRL Investment Partners LLC completed the acquisition of the entire share package and holds 100% of the shares of Cesena FC today.
Besides the first team, Cesena FC runs twenty-one youth teams involving almost six hundred children. We also have a Women's Section that consists of a first-team - which competes in Serie B of the National Championship - and seven youth teams (from the 15-19-year-old to the Under 11 squads) with about a hundred and forty girls.
Home matches are played at Orogel Stadium Dino Manuzzi (20,164 seats), one of the arenas hosting the European Under-21 Championships in Italy in 2019.
