The protagonist of today's press conference was Stefano Stefanelli, officially presented to the press after the announcement a few days ago. "This is a very important and wonderful stage for me - opened the new Cesena FC sporting director - and I thank the property for giving me this opportunity. We are talking about a historic club; among other things I live not far from here and I have always appreciated the passion of this company: that's why I am proud to be part of this project. When the call came, I didn't think about it for more than half a second: I was already at the motorway exit ready to start. With the ownership there has been talk of a transversal growth of the club, we have touched on various points, from the first team to the structures, up to the youth sector: there are great ideas and I make myself available to try to help them realize them".

Stefanelli then focused on Cesena's seasonal goals, which will have to be conquered on the field, game after game: "I don't like to make proclamations in the summer: I can say that goals are built over the course of the season. We want to do something important, so we will have to work hard day after day to overcome the difficult moments, but it is clear that we want to try to achieve the maximum: to win".

The sporting director closed by explaining the reasons for the choice of the new coach, which will be officially presented tomorrow: "Toscano is a very important coach for the category and with him there is a continuous comparison on the construction of the team, which will have to trace what are its characteristics. I know that the fans ask for a certain kind of approach and we want to create a squad that can drag and attract people with not only technical performances, but also character. I think the coach is the right person to convey these values and the best profile for this square: in addition to being a winner, he has the advantage of being simple and humble".
