CESENA DEFEATS VIS PESARO 4-0

Cesena again confirmed its success against Vis Pesaro, as they did in the Coppa Italia four days ago. The Bianconeri closed the first half with a 2-0 lead thanks to goals by Adamo and Donnarumma. In the second half, the Bianconeri did not drop in pace or concentration and scored two more goals with Silvestri and Pierozzi.

As asked by the coach in the pre-match press conference, Cesena attacked the match from the first minute and, after nine minutes, took the lead: Adamo buried his shot off an excellent passing play with Kargbo. After the lead, the match was in balance, with Cesena going close to finding their second goal in the 15th minute, but Polverino stopped Shpendi's deflection on Francesconi's shot. In the 32nd minute came Cesena's second goal; again, Adamo was the protagonist. The winger broke free on the right, crossed the ball to the far post, and found Donnarumma, whose header made it 2-0. At the end of the first half, Kargbo also tried from a distance, but the ball sailed high.

The second half resumed along the lines of the first. After two minutes, Kargbo was put in front of the goal by Shpendi but failed to score thanks to Polverino's miraculous save. The third goal was not far away. In fact, in the 53rd minute, Adamo broke free on the right and crossed it in the middle for Silvestri, whose header made it 3-0. Vis Pesaro created a dangerous chance off a free kick with Di Paola, but Pisseri blocked the first attempt while the second went out just high. Cesena is always dangerous on its crosses, and from a corner kick, Silvestri goes close to finding his second, but Polverino managed to deflect it. In the 77th minute comes Cesena's fourth goal, once again from a header and again from winger to winger: Donnarumma crossed the ball to the far post for Pierozzi, who scored with a header for his first of the season. In the dying minutes, a thrill for Cesena with Piacentini's incredible save on the line. The match ends there for a 4-0 final.
