THE CHRISTMAS EVENT OF THE YOUTH SECTOR AT THE VERDI THEATER
On the evening of Thursday, December 19, in the magnificent setting of Cesena's Teatro Verdi, the Bianconeri's Youth Sector's Christmas Party was held, involving four hundred athletes and nearly one hundred members of the various technical staff, as well as health personnel, accompanying managers and drivers. Filling the stalls of the city theater were the men's selections from Under 9 to Primavera, all the women's teams, and the “For Integrated Football” project team.
During the event, the film “999 - The Other Soul of Football” was screened, a docu-fiction directed by Federico Rizzo and produced by Stefania Tschantret, based on the novel of the same name written by Pablo Amir Tabloni. At the center of the narrative is the story of a young teenager driven by the desire to become a professional soccer player at all costs but who encounters a series of obstacles and difficulties coming one step away from the decision to abandon his lifelong dream. It is an exciting narrative that, through the telling of an ordinary and universal story, emphasizes the importance of the values of solidarity, family, and friendship.
At the end of the screening, the evening closed with a welcome surprise for all the female and male soccer players present in the room, who were joined by HCL players Giuseppe Prestia and Tommaso Berti, as well as two actors who star in the docu-fiction, Mattia Peren and Ettore Nicoletti. The four speakers recounted their own experiences, emphasizing the importance of the concepts that emerged while watching “999 - The Other Face of Football” before stopping with the girls and boys for photos and autographs.
“It is a great emotion for me,” said General Manager Corrado Di Taranto, ” to be here together with all of you just a few days before the holiday season to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year on behalf of myself and the entire management of Cesena FC. I am very proud of all of you, the players in the youth sector and my boys in integrated soccer, for the commitment you put in every day on and off the field and for the passion with which you represent our club around Italy. I would also like to thank for his presence also the Mayor of the city of Cesena, Enzo Lattuca, who did not want to miss this event, which testifies to the great attention that the Municipal Administration also pays to the youth activities of the Cavalluccio."
“I hope this film has succeeded in conveying to you the importance of the values of sacrifice, family, and team spirit,” said head of the youth sector Roberto Colacone, “all indispensable elements to pursue your dream and form you as women and men even off the field in everyday life. Tonight, I also see all the people who work behind the scenes daily to ensure you can perform in the best possible conditions, and I want to thank them all deeply for their contribution. On behalf of myself and all my staff, I wish you and your families a happy and peaceful holiday season as we look forward to seeing each other again on the field in 2025."
