CESENA DEFEATS VIS PESARO 2-0
Cesena capitalized on Torres' draw to extend their lead by 11 points with a win against Vis Pesaro. The Bianconeri broke the deadlock in the first half with Berti following a through pass from Kargbo and sealed the deal in stoppage time with Ogunseye, who skillfully capitalized on an assist from David.
The match kicked off at a high pace right from the start. In the 10th minute, Silvestri aimed for Pierozzi at the far post, but Neri securely caught his header to keep the match tied. A minute later, Adamo went for a header, too, but his attempt was too weak, making it easy for Neri to hold on. In the 17th minute, Cesena countered with Kargbo threading a pass to Berti inside the box; Berti controlled the ball mid-air and fired a left-footed shot that passed Neri, giving Cesena the lead. In the 28th minute, Shpendi found Berti in the box, who shot with his left foot, but Neri pulled off a miraculous save, deflecting it for a corner. In the 37th minute, Shpendi managed to get free in the box but couldn't get a shot off; the ball reached Francesconi, whose attempt went wide. Vis Pesaro had their first real chance in the 38th minute from a free kick, but Pisseri comfortably saved Zagnoni's effort.
The second half began with both sides making numerous errors; Vis Pesaro's first chance came from a corner in the 61st minute, with Tonucci's header narrowly missing the target. In the 71st minute, Varone sent a long ball to Shpendi, who, once in the box, passed it back to him near the penalty spot, but his shot hit the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Cesena countered with Kargbo finding Shpendi, whose shot drifted just wide of the post. As Vis Pesaro pushed forward in search of an equalizer in the final minutes, Cesena struck on the counter: Chiarello passed to David, who crossed from the right to Ogunseye at the far post. Ogunseye's header found the back of the net, doubling the lead and sealing the match for Cesena.
