THE 85TH ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND IS APPROACHING
A few days before the 85th birthday of the “Cavalluccio", Cesena FC opens the doors of the 85th Fuori dal Campo (Off the Field). This new initiative will take place in the city's historic center from today until Wednesday, April 30—a special occasion to share this historic milestone with the whole city.
Thanks to the Museo Bianconero Cesena, which has made its rich historical heritage available, and the Bianconeri partners E.CO. Energia Corrente, Babbi, and Premiata Officina Lugaresi, a real exhibition will come to life with some of the most precious and important memorabilia concerning the Club's history, from its foundation on April 21, 1940, to the present day.
The tour starts at the Babbi Cafè in Piazza Almerici, where memorabilia and gadgets from the period between the 40s and 60s will be on display, with a special focus on the Cavalluccio's early years: from the foundation of the Cesena Football Club by Count Alberto Rognoni to the restart of football after the Second World War. Here, you can also taste the exceptional, delicious “Forza Cesena” coffee, created especially by the confectionery company to pay homage to Cesena FC.
The exhibition continues inside the premises of the Premiata Officina Lugaresi and in Piazza Almerici. Here, you can admire shirts, memorabilia, and souvenirs from Cavalluccio's golden years, those between the 70s and 80s, which saw the bianconeri Club as a protagonist in Italy, with its first promotion to Serie A, and in Europe, thanks to its historic qualification for the UEFA Cup.
The two final stages are, instead, both in Piazza Amendola at the Cesena FC Store and at the adjacent Eco Energia Store, to relive the Cavalluccio's most recent years up close with an exhibition of uniforms, photographs and gadgets relating to the victories and successes achieved by the bianconeri from the 90s to the present day.
But that's not all. On the occasion of the next home game, which will see Cesena FC take on Sassuolo Calcio on Friday, April 25th, at 8:30 p.m., a special museum corner dedicated to the 85th birthday of the Cavalluccio will be set up at the Bianconeri Clubhouse.
Through the entrance to the Distinti sector in Via Marche, the exhibition will be accessible to all fans on Thursday, April 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., while on Friday, April 25, it will be open from the time the gates open, but only if you have a ticket for the Distinti Superiori or Inferiori.
“We have collaborated with the Bianconero Museum,” said Claudia Gatti, Head of Marketing at Cesena FC, ”to spread and enhance the rich history of our Club as much as possible. The selected memorabilia, which can be viewed at various points in the historic center of Cesena, are rare and unique. For us, it is an opportunity to celebrate 85 years of history with our fans and show even the youngest many essential episodes of the past, creating culture together with the new generations."
“For us, it is an honor to collaborate with Cesena FC and to be able to support it in these initiatives aimed at enhancing and promoting the history of our beloved Cavalluccio. My thanks,” added Andrea Bertozzi, co-founder of the Bianconero Museum, ”go to the owners and all the employees of the Club for the enthusiasm they have shown in telling the story of Cesena, as well as to the members of the Bianconero Museum Association, as their contribution is fundamental in passing on the historical memory and bringing the events to life. Finally, a special thank you goes to Davide Veglia, the cornerstone between the two entities and the vital energy of the entire Museum project, conceived as a tribute to the fans and shared heritage for the whole territory.”
We look forward to seeing many of you at the 85th Fuori dal Campo to celebrate our beloved Cavalluccio together!
