CESENA FC ALSO TOOK PART IN THE INTEGRITY TOUR
On the afternoon of Thursday, February 12, at the “Alberto Rognoni” Sports Center, the first team of Cesena FC took part in the Integrity Tour, a project aimed at Serie BKT clubs and designed to combat sports fraud, conducted in collaboration with Sportradar AG, the company responsible for training on the subject of sports fraud and illegal betting.
With this initiative, Lega B and AIC intend to strengthen the culture of integrity and legality in football, with a specific focus on the risks associated with sports betting and the civil and criminal consequences that may affect individual players and clubs. The training course, led by Marcello Presilla, Integrity Manager for Italy at Sportradar AG, and Umberto Calcagno, President of the Italian Footballers' Association, aims to explore and disseminate rules and best practices, illustrating a wide range of cases drawn from national and international experience. The stated objective is to raise awareness among athletes, coaches, and club managers of the various threats to sporting integrity and to provide them with tools for defense and prevention.
A structured program that aims to inform and educate all players in the football system, involving not only first-team players but also youth team athletes in the educational process. Following the meeting at Villa Silvia, the Integrity Tour delegation visited the “Romagna Centro” Sports Center in Martorano, home of the Cesena FC Youth Sector, to hold the same training session on fraud and illegal betting with the Cavalluccio Primavera and Under 17 youth teams.
