GAETANO CASTROVILLI IS A NEW FOOTBALLER FOR CESENA FC

Cesena FC announces the acquisition of midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli from SSC Bari. The new Cavalluccio player has signed a contract until June 30, 2026, with an option to extend.

Born in Canosa di Puglia in 1997, Castrovilli came up through the youth ranks at SSC Bari, making his professional debut in Serie B with the club in May 2015.

From 2017 to 2019, he made over 50 appearances in Serie B with US Cremonese, before moving to ACF Fiorentina, where he made his debut in the top flight. In his five seasons with the Viola, he made 131 appearances and scored 14 goals across Serie A, the Coppa Italia, and the Conference League.

During his time in Florence, Castrovilli was called up to the Italian senior national team for the first time, and in 2021, he became European champion as part of the Azzurri team that won the historic Euro 2020 victory at Wembley.

In the 2024/2025 season, he split his time between SS Lazio and AC Monza, making 21 additional appearances in Serie A, and in the first half of the current championship, he wore the SSC Bari shirt.

Castrovilli will wear the number 8 jersey for the Bianconeri.

Welcome to Romagna, Gaetano!
