CESENA ACHIEVES ITS SIXTH STRAIGHT VICTORY

Cesena secures its sixth consecutive victory and maintains a 12-point lead over second-place Torres, who won against Perugia yesterday. After a first half ending in a draw with goals from Shpendi and Forte, the Bianconeri sealed the deal in the second half with an impressive goal from Kargbo and a strike from Donnarumma.

In the opening 15 minutes, both teams felt each other out, with Cesena taking the lead on their first chance: De Rose retrieved the ball in Cesena's half and charged down the left, delivering a cross for Shpendi, who slid in to score the 1-0 goal. Two minutes later, Cesena nearly doubled their lead with Donnarumma, but Anacoura saved his shot. In the 29th minute, Sestri Levante registered their first shot, with Forte breaking free from Pieraccini, but his effort went wide. A minute later, Cesena responded with Corazza attempting a shot off Adamo's cross, but the ball went wide. As the first half nears its end, Sestri Levante equalized on a cross from Podda, which found Parlanti alone in the box, who scored a header.

In the second half, Cesena started strong in search of the second goal. In the 51st minute, Adamo attempted a free-kick, but it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Shpendi's cross from the right found Donnarumma, whose volley was saved by Anacoura. In the 63rd minute, after a corner, Shpendi received the ball, controlled it, and fired a shot that hit the post. In the 68th minute, Kargbo is released on the left, and his right-footed shot found the top corner, putting Cesena back in the lead. Two minutes later, Sestri Levante responded with Pane, whose header narrowly went over the bar. In the 71st minute, Ciofi came on for Adamo, marking his return to the pitch after 106 days. In the 87th minute, Varone set up Kargbo, who found Shpendi, but his effort was blocked. A minute later, Kargbo raced forward, but his shot went wide. In the subsequent action, Donnarumma sealed the win on the counterattack after solely beating two defenders.
