HAPPY FOR THE GOAL, BUT I STILL HAVE A LOT OF WORK TO DO
Midfielder Matteo Francesconi, who scored his first goal at Orogel Stadium Dino Manuzzi this evening, reached the press room after the Cesena—Padova match.
"This year, the goal came immediately, and it was unexpected, and it was a great personal satisfaction. As the first goal at Orogel Stadium, it was very nice, and I immediately went to hug Adamo because he put a treat on me."
"I know I have to work no matter what. I know I have to improve a lot, and I have a lot of gaps to fill. I am so happy for tonight, but I know that to earn my place, I still have a long way to go. I hope this is the first brick of this year, and I hope to take a lot of satisfaction from it."
"Roughly speaking, the concepts that the coach asks of me are those of last year. He gives me more freedom in insertions than in the past, when I was more stuck retrieving balls. This year, I have more freedom in insertions and throwing myself in front. There is a slight difference."
"Tonight at one point we dropped our offensive intensity a little bit, but we were still balanced and we weren't conceding as much, I felt responsible for some lost balls then I tried to help the team and towards the end I picked up."
"I've been playing here in Cesena since I was in eighth grade. From the youth sector, the results have come. I feel rich in knowledge, both tactically and technically. Not only that, but I think that from the point of view of youth preparation, Cesena has nothing to envy the big clubs."
