THE FIRST EDITION OF THE CAVALLUCCIO CUP
Everything is ready for the first edition of the Cavalluccio Cup, the tournament organized by the Cesena FC Youth Sector for its affiliated clubs. The tournament aims to promote youth football in the Romagna-Marche region and give the young participants a unique and unforgettable experience.
This new event will involve all twenty-four clubs that have joined the Cesena FC Official Academy program, which, on Sunday, June 8, will have the opportunity to play the final phase of the tournament directly on the field of Orogel Stadium - Dino Manuzzi, in what will be a great day of celebration to close the competition.
The tournament will be played over five stages, with as many different locations for each participating category, from Under 9 to Under 13. The Cavalluccio Cup will start on March 16th, with the Under 13s playing on the fields of USD Classe, in the Ravenna area, while a week later, on March 23rd, it will be the turn of the Under 9s, who will take to the field in Pesaro, as guests of ASD Muraglia. The month of March will end with the young Under 10 players, who will be the protagonists on the Junior Cervia fields on the last weekend.
In April, the tournament will stop in Forlì, where on the 6th, the Under 11 teams will compete at the ASD Vecchiazzano sports center. It will then close with the last event of the preliminary phase, which will take place on April 13th at the ASD TorreSavio facilities, dedicated to the Under 12 category.
“We are proud to launch this new project,” said Cesena FC General Manager Corrado Di Taranto, ”which is part of the Club's great growth path. Our aim is to promote football as a tool for education and personal growth for young people, while also creating a moment of gathering and celebration for the entire local community. In this sense, I sincerely thank Alpha Soluzioni Immobiliari, already a partner of the Company, for the fundamental support that it has immediately decided to give to this initiative”.
“As Alpha Soluzioni Immobiliari,” said CEO Daniel Saliaj, ”we are very happy to contribute to the organization of the Cavalluccio Cup. This event aims to provide lots of fun and carefree entertainment for the children of our area who dream of one day being able to wear the Cesena FC shirt.”
“We wanted to create an event that would be a party for the kids,” added Fabrizio Faro, Head of Grassroots Activities at Cesena FC, “an event that would strengthen the bond between Cesena FC and the local area, as well as being a great opportunity for everyone to meet, grow and have fun. The decision to involve the structures of the affiliated companies is also deliberate and designed to enhance the sense of belonging and the qualities of all the organizations involved in the project."
However, Sunday, June 8th, will not only be the day dedicated to celebrating the Cavalluccio Cup and all the affiliated companies involved, but it will also be an opportunity to see some of the Bianconeri club's icons back on the field, thanks to the Cesena FC Legends4Charity project. The Cavalluccio Legends will also be back on the pitch at the “Dino Manuzzi” Stadium with a special friendly match, which will be played alongside the youth tournament finals.
“We are trying to involve as many former champions as possible to support important causes,” explained Massimo Agostini, board member of Cesena FC as well as member of Legends4Charity, ‘given that all proceeds from the match, which will see the Bianconeri Legends take to the field, will be donated to charity, as was the case with our first match played last December in Cervia."
“We wanted to unite the past and present of Cesena football in a single day,“ concluded Davide Succi, ”because the spirit of this event is to entertain everyone, exciting children and families thanks to the most beautiful and sincere values of sport, to which Cesena FC is deeply attached and in which it is determined to continue investing."
