DIFFICULT GAME, BUT WE WANT TO GIVE CONTINUITY TO OUR GROWTH
On the eve of the Cesena - Modena match, a press conference was held by Mister Michele Mignani, who presented the upcoming home challenge, scheduled for Friday, September 13 at 20:30 at Orogel Stadium - Dino Manuzzi and valid for the fifth matchday of the Serie BKT 2024/2025 Championship.
“The match against Modena will be a very tough challenge, first of all, because this is a league in which there is no such thing as an easy match: Modena is in its third year in Serie B and is a club with great ambitions, which I don't think is content to do a mid-table championship, and leading it is a very experienced coach who knows how to do well in this category. It will be a difficult match, but we must not be afraid of anyone, and we must know that in all the difficulties we will face, as we have done so far, we will try to hurt the opponents and win the match."
"Ours is a team that has retained more than half of the players from last year, guys who already had a clear identity and mentality, adding to the group players suited to follow up on the path of last season. Honestly, at the beginning of the season, I was curious, too, about how long it would take to put it all together, and we probably went faster than expected. However, we have to give continuity to this growth and try to take our performance as far as we can over time."
"I expect an open and balanced match. Modena has a lot of offensive players, and I don't think they will sit back and watch us, but I think they will also want to win the game. Challenges then change depending on the episodes: in case one of the two teams should unlock the result, then the match will become even more open, while in case the result should remain tied, the challenge could be more studied. However, I still expect a balanced match in which both teams want supremacy over the opponent."
"I look at performances and not results, and I think this group has the quality of being a carefree team, bringing many players into the opponent's half of the field, moving the ball quite well and creating chances. I would like to see this again tomorrow. I want to keep the good part of our performance in the first four games and carry it forward for ninety minutes."
